Building Surveyor (Aids and Adaptations Surveyor)

Job Description

Our Local Authority client in Great Manchester are looking for a DFG Surveyor to join their Home Improvement Agency team for a period of at least 6 months.

The incoming surveyor will be overseeing the process ‘cradle to grave’ from the the initial inspection and schedule of works right through the drawings to snagging.

Job Description

  • Carrying out surveys across the Council’s stock to assess the property for adaptations works
  • Liaising with occupational therapists, other health professionals and the customers own requirements
  • Assist in the design of disabled adaptations
  • Producing options appraisals for more complex adaptation works for the Council
  • Giving detailed technical advice and recommendations for proposed works
  • Ensuring legislative requirements are met at all times
  • Preparing scheme designs, schedules of work, specifications and tender documents for adaptations works

A HNC/HND in Construction or Building Studies (or a degree in any type of surveying) is essential for this position.
