About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Surveyor to join our growing Property Services team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will take responsibility for diagnosing, managing, and resolving a broad range of maintenance issues across our housing stock—covering routine, reactive, and major repairs.

This hybrid position combines site inspections, remote working, and office attendance when required, offering flexibility while ensuring high‑quality service delivery for our residents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough damp and mould investigations, diagnose root causes, and produce clear action plans.
  • Carry out and oversee routine, reactive, and major repairs, ensuring work meets organisational and statutory standards.
  • Complete on-site assessments using an iPad to access job details, complete reports, upload photographs, and update repair records in real time.
  • Prepare clear and accurate documentation, including inspection reports, job specifications, risk assessments, and follow‑up notes.
  • Liaise with residents, contractors, surveyors, and internal teams to arrange, monitor, and quality‑check repair works.
  • Ensure all work is aligned with health & safety policy, building regulations, and damp & mould guidelines (including ventilation, moisture control, and property condition standards).
  • Support the delivery of planned works programmes and recommend long‑term solutions where recurring issues are identified.
  • Provide updates at team meetings, attend the office for collaboration, and support colleagues as required.
