Job Description

One of my largest German clients have an urgent requirement for an Automation Engineer to join them on a freelance basis. The contract is for an initial 4 months which could possibly extend.

Project Description:

The system is a district heating backup system for generating hot water from natural gas. It feeds into the existing district heating network via a 2×3 pump and two boilers.

Automation system description:
The automation system is built with PCS7 V9.1 using CMT technology

Tasks system:
-Construction of the system on site. (Check AS, server, client communication)
– Establish communication of all devices in the bus systems (terminal bus, system bus, field bus).
– Also with Modbus participants, I/O modules, Profinet, Profibus etc.
– Time synchronization.
-Establish network communication between AS and I/O assemblies/units.
-Loop checks of all field signals (analog signals, digital signals, valves, motors, frequency converters, etc.)

Commissioning:
– Building heating
– District heating system (main system description)
– Process water system
– Natural gas distribution system
– Block rule schemes

Also commissioning of the boiler / based on function plans (IBS burner ignition tests etc.)
Adjustments/changes in the CFC, SFC, FailSafe CFC plans, if necessary changes in the CMT/after consultation with BLSA.
Adjustments in the WinCC screens Creation of new objects
Check/create notifications.
Create signal exchange with other trades, e.g. heating, air conditioning and ventilation
Starting and stopping the boiler and the entire system
Optimization of the controls and the overall system

Requirements:
Electrical Automation background is essential.
Experience with PCS7 is preferred.
German A1 level is essential.
