The Opportunity
A leading planning and development consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Town Planner to join its growing Manchester team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to work on a strong and varied portfolio of development projects across the North West and wider UK.
The role would suit someone who is commercially minded, technically strong and keen to take on greater responsibility across both project delivery and client relationships.
The Role
As an Associate Town Planner, you will:
Manage a range of planning projects from inception through to determination.
Provide strategic planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors.
Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals and other planning documentation.
Lead on projects and act as a key point of contact for clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Support business development and contribute to winning new work.
Mentor and support junior members of the planning team.
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Manchester office.

Appeals and major planning applications
About You
The successful candidate will ideally:
Have several years’ experience within a planning consultancy or related environment.
Be MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
Have strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
Have experience managing planning projects and dealing directly with clients.
Be confident providing planning advice and presenting recommendations.
Have a commercial mindset and an interest in developing client relationships.
Be keen to progress towards Associate Director and Director level in the future.
