Role Overview:
The AI Product Specialist will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. This role combines strong stakeholder engagement with hands-on delivery of AI and data products. You will work closely with Databricks-based platforms to design, build, and deliver AI solutions that move from concept to production.
This is a freelance role with a strong emphasis on both product ownership and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams to shape AI product requirements and roadmaps.
- Translate business problems into scalable AI and data product solutions.
- Design, build, and deliver AI solutions using Databricks as the core data and analytics platform.
- Develop and manage data transformation pipelines using dbt to support AI and analytics use cases.
- Drive end-to-end AI product delivery, from ideation and prototyping to production and adoption.
- Ensure AI solutions align with data governance, quality, and platform standards.
- Support stakeholder demos, workshops, and decision-making with clear communication and insights.
Requirements:
Essential
- Proven experience as an AI Product Specialist, AI Product Owner, or similar role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks (data engineering, analytics, or ML workloads).
- Strong experience using dbt for data modeling and transformation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI-driven products or solutions in a production environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to combine strategic product thinking with hands-on technical execution.
Desirable
- Experience working in agile or product-led delivery environments.
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts and productionizing machine learning models.
- Experience working as a freelancer or consultant in complex organizations.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- PowerBI knowledge
