Locum Adult Care Lawyer

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority in the East Midlands who are seeking an experienced Locum Adult Care Lawyer to join their legal services team on a part-time interim basis.
This role offers a flexible opportunity to support a busy adult social care function, with part-time hours between 22–30 hours per week considered.
Responsibilities:
Advising on a range of adult social care matters
Managing cases under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and related legislation
Advising on safeguarding, ordinary residence and funding matters
Supporting officers with legal advice and risk management
Managing a caseload with minimal supervision
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive in England & Wales
Proven experience in adult social care law, ideally within a local authority
Comfortable working independently in a locum capacity
Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly
Contract Details:
Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Part-time hours: 22–30 hours per week
Hybrid working available
Initial 3–6 month contract with potential for extension
Flexible start date
