Job Purpose:

To take a lead role in the management and delivery of planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance services provided by the Council.

To provide technical advice with an understanding of government regulations, public safety, environmental constraints, construction methods and costs.

Main objectives of the service:

1. To deliver planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance. Ensuring services are delivered on time, within budget, to the required standard. Providing efficient technical expertise, contract management, planning and administrative support, as required. including:

• Research and feasibility studies

• Preparation, evaluation and award of tenders

• Administration and supervision of contracts

1. To maintain the Councils off-street car parks and parking function

2. To provide advice and design solutions in relation to the Land Drainage Act and Water act and take a key role in flood resilience with partnership organisations

3. To assist in the maintenance of the Councils Property and Land
