Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Street Scene Services team as a Licensing Officer.

Rate – £35 – £40 per hour

You should be a strong team player who is capable of carrying out their own workload in a busy Licensing Team dealing with Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Private Hire, Street Trading and Charitable Collections. You should have strong investigation skills and a good knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996. You should also be able to write and present reports to the Licensing Committee and its Sub-Committees and provide information and advice. Good communication skills and the ability to convey detailed matters or legislation are a must.
