Senior Support / Network Engineer Opportunity in the Telecom Sector!
A fast-growing high-tech company is seeking a skilled Senior Support / Network Engineer to join their global CSO Access team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an international environment on innovative network connectivity solutions that power leading service providers worldwide.
Position: Senior Support / Network Engineer
Location: Leuven, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Experience: Minimum 5 years in telecom or enterprise networking environments

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operators and integrators worldwide, validating solutions and driving project wins.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues by collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams.
- Pre-validate new features before customer demonstrations and handle customer queries related to network devices.
- Assist in pre-sales consultancy, including network design validation and testing.
- Deliver support through CRM tools and act as a key interface between customers and internal departments.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation when required.
- Train colleagues and customers on the latest product updates.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecom or enterprise networking.
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, VPNs, and related protocols such as Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, NetConf, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
- Familiarity with Wireshark and network traffic analysis.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for special assignments.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) and network certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia) are desirable.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of broadband access technologies and testing tools like Spirent.
- Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu/Debian).
- Understanding of SDN, vitalisation, and virtual router platforms.
- Experience with NetConf/XML and REST API communication.
